HR Generalist (m/f)

Our client, an international agricultural company, is currently seeking business support from a motivated person for the position of:

HR Generalist (m/f)

Location: Zagreb

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide HR operational support for Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • Supports the implementation of HR process standards and tools and ensures the quality of delivery
  • Supports the employee engagement strategy, employee relations, recruitment and selection, L&D organization
  • Manages overall payroll process and co-ordinate all activities
  • Works closely with external service providers and with local authorities if needed, relating to HR Services provided
  • Supports HR Manager in other HR processes

Required skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management/Social Sciences/Business Administration/Economics
  • Minimum of five year experience in HR Generalist/HR Operations at country level in an international company/environment
  • In-depth knowledge of HR lifecycle and annual activities (e.g. Performance Management, Benefits Plans)
  • Experienced in payroll and HR Administration
  • Experienced in managing third party service providers
  • Familiarity with and understanding of HRM tools (preferable Workday)
  • Knowledge of local HR processes and related legislation (labor law)
  • Experienced in process implementation and project management
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and effectively manage relationships at all organizational levels in the countries, including third parties and local Authorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • English proficiency is required; additional knowledge of Slovenian is considered as an advantage
