Kaufland confirms that, to them, employee satisfaction and development come first

Kaufland Hrvatska reaffirmed the Employer Partner certificate standards again this year. Kaufland has been a part of the Certificate Employer Partner project for four years, and they have confirmed the high standards of the Certificate in their first year of certification, and each year since, they have achieved even higher results, which testifies to Kaufland’s continued work and dedication when it comes to ensuring the satisfaction of their employees and the quality of their HR processes.

In the year since the last certification, Kaufland has further refined its selection processes, significant efforts have been made to digitalize the onboarding process, and special efforts have been made to provide opportunities for the development of all employees through their Talent management project.

In Kaufland, a great deal of emphasis has been placed on providing a variety of training opportunities for all employees, and over the past year, some new development programs have been made available to employees, such as a mentoring program and sales skills training. All employees have completed at least one form of training and a total of 4,480 days of training, which occurs during the work hours in Kaufland. Kaufland regularly surveys the satisfaction of its employees and actively implements a multitude of projects to promote their health, for example, all employees receive „healthy gifts“ twice a year, such as immunity boosters, water bottles, and so on. Employee sports activities are subsidized, and various educations and workshops are organized to raise awareness of the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. Thus, Kaufland is the first retail chain in Croatia to be awarded the Tvrtka prijatelj zdravlja (Company – friend of health) certificate.

The company pays particular attention to parents by, for example, giving a gift package to parents of newborns and a paid leave on the first day of primary school of their children. In addition, a great advantage for Kaufland employees is the fact that every minute of work is paid and that, on top of their salary, twice a year they can earn a netto reward as a thank you for contributing to the company’s results.

Dunja Firšt, HR Director at Kaufland, accepted the Employer Partner certificate from Aleksandar Zemunić, Member of the Management Board at SELECTIO, and EUN – Europa upravljanje nekretninama, their affiliate company, was also awarded the Certificate.
