„It's not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change". Charles Darwin Change Management is an everyday subject, especially in 2009. - a year of global economic changes for everyone, thus for HRM experts also. Changes are inevitable and long lasting, so the question is: SHOULD WE BE MANAGING CHANGES OR JUST SURVIVING THEM?
In order to stay, or become, competitive it is necessary to be aware of how important is our responsiveness to change. Only, awareness is not enough! Reactions to changes can be very unpopular (but unfortunately inevitable) and therefore leave room for misunderstandings and different interpretations. All of this can have an (un)reasonable impact on our reputation and the reputation of our organization. We can create organizational image, but reputation is something we must deserve. Finally, good reputation usually is not the result of what we are doing, but how we are doing it. Every organization has to retain its employees and attract new ones - those who know "how". Who are those employees? Do they deserve the same treatment like others? What to do with them? Those are the answers we are looking for. On the other hand, how to motivate majority of employees in every organization? How to motivate significant ones without whom organization couldn’t exist - people who ensure the stability of our business activity? What are the creative motivation solutions which reward employees without any money involved at the same time? Everything mentioned, and broader, we’ll have the opportunity to find out at the 8th SEE Human Resources Management Arena conference. Conference content will be divided into four main topics: I. HR AND LEADERSHIP: SURVIVING OR MANAGING CHANGES? II. COMPANY REPUTATION MANAGEMENT IN DIFFICULT TIMES III. TALENT MANAGEMENT: HOW TO PRESERVE GREEN GARDEN IN HARSH CONDITIONS? IV. REWARDING AS MOTIVATION AND AS SAVINGS: CREATIVITY AT WORK Experts from different areas will provide many interesting lectures during the conference. Hopefully, their lectures will make us think, discuss and review our usual HR roles. Through various tools and additional information and knowledge acquired, we'll be able to facilitate our response to new circumstances. Read more |
